DOMAINE DE MONTPLO

The Consul family has been running the Montplo estate between Cruzy and Montouliers for several generations.
The wines benefit from the Saint Chinian appellation. The names of the vintages testify to their roots in the Languedoc tradition: Esper, Louise.
This family estate is located on a plateau at an altitude of 200 meters in the extreme southwest of the Saint Chinian appellation. It is located 30 km west of Béziers and the Mediterranean beaches in the village of Cruzy.
It is an original terroir, coming from a villafranchian terrace, with clayey and stony soil, near the Mediterranean scrubland.
The winemaker, Jean-Michel Consul, created the winery in 2003, the year his daughter Louise was born. Parents and great grandparents wine growers have contributed to the success of this adventure.
Four grape varieties are grown on the estate, grape varieties that are part of the Saint Chinian red appellation: Syrah, Grenache noir, Mourvèdre, Carignan noir.
