Domaine de Montahuc is a 17-hectare vineyard in Saint-Jean-de-Minervois, one of the smallest appellations in France, located in the northern part of the Minervois region of the Languedoc. The vines have been worked organically since 1990 and are located on very chalky and stony soil at an altitude of 280-300 metres, at the foot of the Montagne Noire.
The story begins in 2005, when Julian and Michel, long-time friends, decide to buy together this small farmhouse and its 7 ha of vines. For 15 years, the estate produced exclusively Vin Doux Naturel and two years in a row, received a gold medal at the Best Muscats of the World competition.
In 2019, the new generation took over and revitalized the estate, notably by expanding the range with: 1 dry white wine "Prélude" and 1 red wine "Canyon de l'Eglise".
In full dynamic, the domain opens its doors to you for a visit of its vineyard, its cellar and a tasting of its four wines!
