JAZZ AU CLOITRE - SAMSON SCHMITT TRIO

Jazz au cloître is a major jazz music event in the sumptuous setting of the Saint-Chinian Cloister, with prestigious artists performing there.

Key figures in Gypsy jazz, Samson Schmitt and Yannis Constans do us the honor of presenting "Esperanza", their new family album of compositions, full of color and warmth, the fruit of their many collaborations.
Samson Schmitt, who comes from a remarkable line of Manouche musicians - his father Dorado Schmitt was a disciple of Django Reinhardt - is characterized by his virtuosity and his roots in the style?s tradition.
Yannis Constans, a self-taught guitarist who navigates between gypsy swing, Eastern European music and jazz, has earned his place among the greats, and regularly shares the stage with renowned artists such as Stochelo Rosenberg and Angelo Debarre.
They will be accompanied by the charismatic double bassist and luthier Camille Wolfrom, a jazzman beyond compare.
