A warming recipe to remind you of the South of France in those cold winter months

 

Preparation steps

  • Bring to the boil for 20 minutes on the chestnuts covered with water with the thyme and salt.
  • Drain and mix
  • Brown the onions in oil and add the stock, thyme and mixed herb set.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes and add the chestnut mash.
  • Keep on the fire for another 5 minutes, add salt and pepper...

Our advices

For the most gourmet, add a dash of cream, a few warm croutons or even a few broken chestnuts. 

Serve with thin slices of pan-roasted bacon.
