To respect the law, a temporary request for authorization to ride on the towpath must be sought by applying to VNF (Voies Navigables de France).
Mountain bike circuits
Our mountain bike trails are marked-out by the French Cycling Federation, and are maintained and secured to meet your needs. Nearly 900 km of trails have been signposted for all levels from families to experienced mountain bikers, and enduro enthusiast will love the many fast descents.
In the Saint-Chinian area 23 circuits allow you to discover our villages and landscapes, shaped by the culture of the vine with all the riches of our local heritage.

The Passa Païs greenway
The Passa Païs greenway, laid along the old Mazamet/Bédarieux railway line, is approximately 75 km long and offers a safe route for cycling, and is almost completely flat - no hills to climb!
Several bike rental companies are located near the greenway, offering rentals for half a day, a day or more...
Starting from Capestang and riding along an old railway line and the banks of the Canal du Midi, you will reach Cruzy and its old train station, crossing the vineyards of the villages of Puisserguier or and Quarante over a distance of 12 km.
