Using a visual and musical language based on shadows and puppets, Sortir? gently and sensitively tackles the theme of childhood fears? What if we turned these fears into the driving force we needed to regain control of our lives and grow up? And what if we had fun with them?

A child dares not leave the house where she has just moved in with her father. She tries, but the doorway remains impassable.

What if she invited the old lady on the hill? They say she never leaves her house, that she's afraid of everything too? On Daddy's old Dictaphone, the little girl records a message to guide the old lady step by step, on a journey through the terrible dangers that separate them: the Forest of a Thousand Eyes, the Bridge of the Abyss of Death, and most frightening of all? the Cave that eats Light.

If they can overcome them, perhaps they can tame their fears?
